Recently, we participated in the State Championship. Even though our robot didn't work so well due to loss in phone communication, we still held Core Values and Gracious Professionalism the whole way through. The amazing Coach Sudhir also won the Compass Award! Our team also won the Promote Award and the Think Award. This allowed us to qualify to Worlds. We would like to thank FIRST for giving us this amazing opportunity.

This Saturday was the Interleague! This went very successfully. To start off, we moved up from 11th (from the league matches) to 7th. Because of how the alliance selection turned out, we got to be the 4th alliance captain. We were also able to win the Think Award. Together, we can Escape Velocity! That wasn't the reason it was successful though. We worked very well together as a team and we showed enthusiasm through pulling out light sabers every match. Our Autonomous and Teleop worked smoothly and we were at the competition together, proudly!
For the State tournament, we need to work more on Autonomous and the content. This way, we have a solid performance. League 2 was a blast! It was amazing to see how all the teams improved from League 1. It also showed us a lot of areas to improve. We were better prepared for this League Match, so it was less chaotic. We spent a lot of time tweaking our Red Alliance codes at the competition however. We were still successful though.
We learned that you shouldn't make code the day of the competition. For the next competition, we are going to work on Autonomous more and have it prepared, for both the blue and red side. We also need a little more drive practice, but we thing that we could easily improve and get a higher ranking. After a long time prepping and getting ready, League 1 is finally here! They have a working robot that only has the ability to park in Autonomous and deliver stones. However, they still ended up scoring 6th out of 15 teams, even through all the challenges that they faced. |
